Bowling Chalet ^^

well, was away at changi for 3d2n, for a bowling chalet, probably the last 'official' gathering which will involve everyone in '07. did not break any records in terms of going sleepless (thanx to some bacardi tt made everyone go kuku, with ben being the only sober person durign the 2nd nite ><)

yupp a big THANKEW to the j1 exco for organising it =) and our dearest shuaige*crosses fingers*, mr lee, hu treated us to the bbq =) and of course everyone hu came down and juz chill out and have fun =), especially those hu had to come down from on-going competitions and trainings!

well, had driving test in teh morn where i passed my module 1 xD, den we met in tampines bus interchange b4 going to changi civil service club. played some games at the arcade, of which games costs 20cents per token. haha guess i finally found one that is 'reasonably priced' xP. had bbq that evening, in which the bulk of the people appeared! food was not too bad i guess, except that the variety was rather constrained ><, have to thank jeremy, szeling, xingyi, james, aikxin, rachel, ann, joel for helping to cook =) did not sleep much that nite thanx to just TWO (2) games of risk. of which the later game lasted 5 hours >< possibly due to mind-boggling, intense mind games being played by each player =P. slept at 7am the next morning xD.

2nd day started rather late as we tried to squeeze some sleep time out of a blank schedule =P. so had brunch at changi village, tried the cheapest nasilemak available, found it average, cuz the chilli was not as enticing as the other stalls. probably explained the price =).we then spent the reaminig of the day playing games at the arcade, mahjong, risk. den 4 ppl leaft for home, 4 left for college league, and i was left wif emoboy josh and weihan. had chicken rice for dinner, den rent bikes, started without the 4 hu went to college league, cycled to changi beach club, only to be turned away by the security guard. then cycled to ferry point in the middle of the night, which took us about 2 hours in total, and went to cheers, where i had to buy the little j1s bacardi. haha. and it was quite thankful no girls stayed over, esp during the 2nd nite cuz everyone was kinda 'drunk' lol. alot of gibberish, inane and daft things were done, and it was kind a good move cuz everyone was sound asleep by 3am (well considering we returned from the biking trip at 2).

day 3 was just getting them to wake up and checking out. and of course reminiscing about everything that has happen in the CCA in 2007 =)). which kinda leaves a bittersweet feeling.

ahaha how long does it take a refflesian to blog? 1 month -.-. ok maybe its just me. haha. well so much has happened over this past month. a div, common tests, school work, driving, some other unforseen circumstances ><. and now i need to apply for a new chatterbox.

haha juz seen some of the other bowler's blogs, and mine look really inferior compared to theirs. haha, anyways its like 6.52am rite now and im like still a lil tired. me papa got me a new alarm clock that is dam loud la. i woke up kinda instantly ><

but yea. a div was bittersweet i guess, girls did well, won 2nd, 3rd for singles, 1st for dobules, 3rd for team, 2nd, 3rd, allevents, and overall champs. guys won nothing and came in 6th. still feel very bukanyan la haha. maybe cuz ive not cried this time around?

Suayyy ><

Is it just a coincidence or am i really tt suay?

seems to be that everyone around me will meet with something really disastrous, be it on a friendship level, a relationship level, family level, ah well. anything. seems like im a walking disaster ><.

ok take bowling for example. im into it for 6 years, ive taken part in many competitions, i have a resonably ncie rev and average scores. but come competition i always screw up. without fail. similarly, the people who end up bowling on my lanes also bowl badly. gives u a bittersweet feeling somehow ><. yes it is kinda like an oxymoron where 2 opposite things just seem to complement each other. like feeling bad for your opponent cuz they bowl badly and it seems only so when they bowl wif you, but yet at the same time giving you hope as you see urself climbing further up the scoresheet.

ahahah well i hope this does not affect me in future or ill end up ummm let see...jobless, divorced, crippled, pennyless, and eventually premature death ><.

bwahahah im suffering from low self esteem rite now ><

V day!

ahaha yea its another boring day for me, unlike many others who are busy going out on dates and stuff. well cuz its simple. no date. haha but doesnt mean i dun like anyone. just too timid to admit i guess.

ah wells cuz only 2 people know bout this. and if this person should know it would be really really awkward. yea but anyway few people read this blog anyways so that particular person will unlikely see this and thus things wont be that awkward after all. =)

well the awkwardness is kinda like liking ur best friend and becuz he/she finds out u like him/her and then u guys are not good pals anymore. yea that sort of awkwardness. juz sad isnt it? so i guess im too timid to risk something like this and will just be contented with what i have =). well at least i get to see her and be her friend rite?

ahaha so to those adventurous heart wanderers, this day sure is a nice fun-filled day for you! but hearts are fragile so have fun but dun break them! =)

Shame to the Game

Well, i juz witnessed a time wasting FINALS of the tiger cup, now called the asean championship. How so? Well, ten mins left of the game, aproximately 55 thousand people at the Kallang Stadium and possibly 1 million viewers at home, were left dumb-founded for a good 15 mins, as the whole thai soccer team trudge off the pitch in an attempt to oppose the referee's decision of giving Singapore a penalty.

For goodness sake. All these things are part of the game. Even if the referee was wrong, it is still part of the game. Life GOES on. Firstly, ure not manchester united, whom half the world worships, so walking out of the pitch is simply a no-no and not something you should invent. Secondly, its even WRONG just to walk out of the pitch in protest. Wheres the sportsmanship? Well at least Singapore won cuz frankly, i think it will do Singapore more justice if they won like 5-1 or something.

Thumbs down to the people who spoilt the beautiful game and language we all commonly speak.

Puzzle of My Heart

Everytime we meet,
The picture is complete,
But everytime we touch,
The feeling is too much.
She's all i ever need,
To fall in love again.

I knew it from the very start,
She's the puzzle of my heart.

Hmm.. ponder... ponder... ponder =)

Relationships in JC

Ah wells the name speaks for itself, yes relationship in JCs, well actually not just JCs but in secondary schools as well and possibly polytecnics.

Well often than not, teenagers tend to take relationships too seriously, especially considering their age, their ability to provide for themselves (a stable job, therefore let alone their counterparts), and their maturity.

One thing's for sure, I'm an immature spoilt brat. Which is why i don't happen to be in a relationship. As appeared in the Sunday Times, a guy was deperate over giving his girlfriend the wrong impression and was not hessitant to show his 'seriousness' over her. Well lets analyse this carefully. Firstly, both the guy and the girl are of the same age and are studying in the same college. Let us assume that all goes well. They will both graduate at the same time and would have spent 2 happy years together. However (gosh this is sounding like an econs essay), very soon the girl will be going off either overseas to study or may end up in a local university. The guy will then have to serve his 2 years in national service. Well lets just say all still go well and coincidentally, they meet in the same college either overseas or locally.

But things take a twist this time around. Because the guy and girl haven met for like 2 years, the girl gets tired of waiting and meets other nicer looking and probably smarter guys. And yes she dates them. Furthermore, the guy enters the varsity as the girl's junior. How awkward would that be for both parties!

So here is the guy now in JC and spending all his allowance on his girlfriend, without knowledge that such things could happen to him in the future. So guys, save ur money for a rainy day or probably for your future education and go easy on relationships, they are meant to be for FUN in JC and not something so serious that you'll die over it.

Because we have to face reality, relationships in JC do NOT last! So if you feel that that particular girl who is attractive, has great assets, slender legs, nice pretty face, and you want to make her your wife, be patient! Here's a tip. Try dating her when you are earning a 5/6 figure salary and she'll most probably be yours for the keeping! =)

Well that's all the gibberish i have for now! cheerios!

Merry New Year!

Well sometimes i just stop to ponder. What is so good and merry about a new year?

1. This means you are OLDER (especially sensitive to people above the age of 50)
2. This means you have to out-perform your previous year (so if you won a gold medal at your last school meet, this time u gotta win 2!)
3. Its the end of the holidays! Back to school! (YAY)
4. There is a high possibility that your girlfriend of 1 year has gotten sick of you and decides to dump you

However, try not to fall off the wrong side of your bed as I did so that morning (thus coming up with the above list). As the benefits simply outweigh the detriments! (gosh so essay like ><)

1. You get another shot at your birthday! (more presents)
2. You can start learning how to drive! (for those who turns 18)
3. You are of the legal age of consent! (for the raging hormonal ones)
4. You get to be the senior of the school!
5. You have an entire new year to make full use of!

So whilst everyone is busy making new year resolutions, i'm here to rant on about my all encompassing life, procrastinating and wasting my youth away ><. But here are some i guess.

1. Try to be punctual especially on assignments
2. Qualify for Masters in A division
3. Bring home the 4 As in GCEA Levels ^^

Yupp so thats all from me i guess =) here's wishing everyone all the best!

Milo Open

Well im here in malaysia, for 2 weeks, maybe more, as the title suggests.

Bowling at milo open (my first international tournament! YaY xD) haha but the lanes here are tough...managed only like 729 series? of like 4 games. yea quite pathetic considering the qualifying series is like uhhh 850? yea something like that.

So looks like my chances are slim. anyway my ball isnt rolling well. got too much forward roll and cannot carry pin 10 especially. sigh. ah wells. i guess ill most likely end up enjoying the food and the cheap stuff here!!! haha the shops are going on like a 50% sale!

Not exactly a shopping person but here i come xD

PBC wahahha xD xP

ahahahah a rare sight to see smappy on SG! haha and the even better thing...he gave me wings and pbc!!! xD haha pro sia den i won like uhhhh 5 battles in a row? haha but den had to sleep la...if not tmr gotta zo-gang (work) haha but was a fun experience =P

$1000 for prom? SIAO

haha yepp juz read an article on that...haha, dont you think some people are just so crazy?

well 1k IS alot of money. Not just that, the main point being that it is only being worn once. Suppose one can draw parallel to a wedding dress, in which a person normally wears only once and never touches it again. But then again, what is prom compared to the most important day of your life?

Well I suppose if you really have the money and you have nothing better to do with it, i'd say go ahead. But if you just want to get that dress to outshine others for just 1 night, please, donate it to charity or your piggy bank for a better cause =)

Boleh Land!

Yupps those who have been there would probably have guessed it. Malaysia Boleh!

hahaha travel at 160kmph when the speed limit is 110kmph, Boleh! Well its not rocket science. Should you get caught by the 'chari makan' (looking for food) or the more formal term the police xD, juz wind down the window, drop a 50 ringgit bill, and continue zooming off for the rest of your journey xD ahaha yupp dats life in Boleh land =) Well of course this is one of many examples that is available in boleh land and not here where we are bounded by the 'liberal' government that we have.

Got myself some nice pair of jeans there which is really comfy, some sleeveless shirts for me bro, now that he is in the army and all his muscles are toned and stuff so i guess he can strut around in sleeveless and wait for a girl(possibly many) to pounce on him x). This has been a relatively short trip, partly business and partly relaxing.

Well working is tough no doubt as we were like up at subang airport the whole day from like 8 in the morning to about 7 in the evening...haha quite tiring, but an enriching and fun experience =). Got my 5th flight off my funjet and even took pictures of it xD but sadly I got abit too adventurous and flew it out of range...and yes it crashed..haha sad but im working on another one rite now ><. Demo-ed for SCX, basically its a slot car system and had a few races with Dayan and Johnny, which was really really stressful!

But all in all, I have really only 1 word to describe such an event. FUN! yupps looking forward to my next trip up which will be quite soon as Milo Open is just around the corner =)

Love Hurts

Well many might be against this statement, while others agree, particularly those who have been burnt in a relationship.

For those who havent been in a relationship or been in 'love', or those who are currently in a relationship, they'd probably dismiss such a claim as bull. I like their optimism, but not their foolishness, especially teens. Many people only see the optimistic and bright side of life, but do not see the downfall of others.

With relationships will come rejection, which definitely outweighs the happiness the 2 people gets. Put it simply that there is this really cute and chio girl in which 5 guys are after. In the end however, she can only go with 1 of them, or maybe none at all. therefore the hurt that these 4 (or 5) guys receives is very detrimental to society and not at all healthy.

Well now to my next point. Teens. Many company term today's teens as those with 'spending power'. I beg to differ. Cuz these teens do not have cash of their own. Much of their spendings are heavily reliant on their poor parents who work 10 hours daily to support their spending habits. A huge part of such ludicrous spending goes into a relationship. Therefore often, the WILLING partner suffers.

So to teens out there (gosh this makes me sound old ><), dont commit so early, because really, the girl u are with now will NEVER be your life time partner. If u want to be in a relationship, go slow and just have fun, so you dont get burnt so badly =)

Love or Lust?

Yea i guess...its the same old story of dear old mary dumped tom and harry dumped hermoine xD...well u get the idea.

But the interesting thing is that, is it love that brings 2 together? Or is it lust? Personally i believe its more of the latter.

Look at it this way. What attracts 2 people together? First impression. And what makes first impression, Lust. Yes so doesnt make it such that lust brings 2 unfamiliar being together?

So what exactly is love? 2 people who can communicate really well? Wouldnt that be considered as best friends? Well thats for you to fill in the blanks =) But i do agree that love exists, just that it doesnt start a relationship. Lust does =)

The Coward in Us

You may be the smartest guy around, you may be the toughest guy around, you may be the bravest guy around. But one word never fails to cause us to hesitate and think for a moment. Well if u guessed it right i guess u muz have been in such a situation. Love.

Well maybe its not exactly love, but myself personaly, ive never been able to go up to a person i truly admire or like and say 'hi im malcolm and i find u particularly attractive and i like you'. maybe you could call it lust.

I'm not a guru or whatsoever so i guess im in no position to comment, but really, imagine urself in that person's shoes, and being afraid of love. Well, actually there is nothing to be afraid of love, in fact, love makes people more courageous. However, its the dire consequence that hovers bout love that makes it so fearful. Rejection, isolation, being ostracized, just to name a few.

I would choose to sit on the fence with regards to telling or juz waiting for that particular someone to realise ur liking for the opposite sex, cuz this is really up to an individual's discretion. Ah wells, in the end, one thing we must really and truly consider, is: Loving is one thing, but marriage is another, cuz he/she's gonna be the one living wif u for the rest of your life!

Born Lucky

Well i've always kinda taken things for granted i guess and that im quite spoilt xD, and i always help my dad out with his business unwillingly...hahha i guess u can't exactly blame me rite? cuz i juz want to be like any other ordinary teenager enjoying their teen life, hanging out wif frens, watching movies...but yea...i've come to realise how important these things in my life actually are.

For one, working for my dad and helping out in the business is a blessing in disguise don't u think? i get to learn the traits of doing a business and learn how to be more street smart and practical.

The thing that really struck me today on how lucky i am was the vey fact that my mother made a comment. She is bout to embark on a vacation with a few of my aunts and one of my cousin. It was through talking to her bout the trip that i actually found out that my cousin has never been on a plane! At the age of bout 8 already and the furthest place she's ever been to is malaysia...

This probably woke me up cuz all my life thus far ive been to quite a lot of places, at least 4 continents. and the feeling that i get is a sour one as i come to realise that i am fortunate enough to go overseas and see the world, yet not making full use of it, whilst there are people who yearn to go on such trips but never had the opportunity to.

So to those out there hu are as lucky as me, treasure them and if u can share them with those less fortunate ones around u =), there are many ways to share it...u can help bring back photos, or at least try to photoshop a picture of ur fren in a particular background which makes him feel as though he was there =)

Its the little things that count =)

The Short Journey

I always have this pressing question that still till today have not been answered, or the answer given is not satisfactory.

What happens to us when we leave this whacky wonderful place called earth?

Does life repeat itself? If so, what will we become next? If not, what happens to us then? Do we float about doing nothing or even forgetting that such a wonderful place ever existed?

Ultimately, as the title of this entry suggests, life is short.

Good things don't last as the saying goes, therefore, for those people who lament about life out there, they are WRONG. Because life is short, it is something wonderful and should be treasured. So what are u waiting for? Live it to the fullest!
